As an online business we have production companies located in many different regions, as a result depending on where an order is ordered and/or delivered to there may be additional taxes imposed by local authorities.
For example, one of our production companies is located in Los Angeles, California, due to state law any orders delivered to California will incur an additional sales tax. It would be just too "easy" for everyone if it was a set rate, so Cali has mixed things up a bit. The state sales tax in California is 6.5% with an additional mandatory local rate of 1% bring it up to 7.5% but wait there’s more. Depending on the local municipalities the total tax could be up to 10%.
So what this means for you is, if you buy an awesome t-shirt for $30.00 depending on your location in California you may have to pay either $32.85 or $33.00. The good news is this tax does not apply to shipping/delivery costs. And an extra $3.00 is not that bad when you consider it pays for roads and schools.
We will always do our best to let you know of all the taxes and fees, however, you are responsible for any other local or customs taxes.
If you have any comments, feedback or questions about this Policy or even if you just want to chat, please send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
